Around 5:30-8:00 pm PST my connection to uthgard becomes really bad and we all take turns going LD (brother gf and I.) We ran speed tests and it doesn't seem to be a internet issue so I was wondering what could possibly be going on that would cause something like this?
Edit: whoops to clarify I am from SF, CA in the USA. |

So no one else getting this? Maybe I'll talk to my ISP XD.

Try a traceroute plotter like https://www.pingplotter.com/
Use server.uthgard.net as test address. You will see where the problem is. It's done when it's done. Thanks for your patience.
Every bug gets fixed. Sooner or later. "It is an inescapable law of nature that the amount of satisfaction one gains from achieving something is related to how hard it is and easy things can only elicit a fleeting superficial sort of pleasure." Blue says, "you used macro tools or macro keyboard" Pala says, "i am disabled. and i have a mechanic left hand that can be programed. its hard to play woith one hand" [Appeal] Bxxxxxxxx: "why is RA first aid cann man i stealth use and not unstealth cann man ra if man use unstealth ?????????" BannedUser: "i was not using automate game action my hand was fall on keyboard during i was sleep .... i was completly fall on keyboard ..." |

What a useful tool! I really needed something like this, will even buy it if it works well. Thanks a ton Blue! I downloaded the program and I seem to be losing 30% packet loss at: core24.fsn1.hetzner.com with IP: 213.239.203.126 Any fix for this? IP is located in Germany so I assume it's one of the hops to get to Uthgard from US? |
|
So after running this for the last week, I think most of the packet loss is from telia.net. There's around 4 hops there and losing 30-40% PL each hop =/.
Is there anything I can do on my end to fix this? |

I'm having problems tonight from Midwest area USA

So this is still happening almost on a daily basis.. Anyone else having this problem or purely me?
|
|
Same here...AT&T Midwest, USA. I have tried winmtr, and tracert. Nothing is jumping out at me but it is unplayable for me in the evenings...lag, red meters, eventual LD. All other navigation works fine so I don't think it is my connection. |
|
AT&T west coast here. Yeah I'm using fiber and i can load 4k videos while going ld and constant lag in evenings as well. |
|
Loading video from the US while going ld to EU servers is possible if your (Americans) access to EU is messed up. Got any questions? Submit them to me and I will try to get them answered in our grab bag !

So I talked to several people who had the same problem including the guy above who posted. It's always telia.net that has packet loss. I did manage to get around this insane server lag by using a VPN, there are some free ones if you google it but I use PIA if anyone cares. Hopefully this will help somebody else (it's like 2USD a month if you buy annual.)

Had same problem for weeks. Switched ISP from AT&T to Wow Cable. Problem gone.
Edit: And when I was just now browsing their website looking for a place to report multiple people were having the problem, they called me trying to sell me a promo. Never found a support email. |
|
I am having the same issue since I started playing here a month or so ago... between 7-10pm =/- Central US time Using AT&T fiber optic. Are there any solutions, that don't cost $$? |

Buddy have you ever tried VPN while gaming because I am an avid gamer and I had faced lags issues many times and due to this I usually use VPN during any online gaming competition, So you can also try VPN, But it is hard to find reliable VPN for gaming, To take right decision you can visit VPN related website like https://www.tomsguide.com or https://www.reviewsed.com. Thanks me later. Last edited by markhascole on Oct 07, 2020 09:05, edited 1 time in total.

FYI, I live in the Seattle area and have been having to use a VPN as well as I face frequent LD's otherwise between the gameserver and where I live with Comcast. If you're financially able, consider the VPN option. I set mine to US Seattle (Private internet access VPN provider) and the LDs/lags go away.
