My email that i usually use to log into the game does not work anymore I just get "Error Code 2" message and nothing else.

This is an AOL email address Ive been using for years, and have been logging on with it no problem until yesterday!

I entered a random email into the login (like hotmail ) just to see if it would say the same error message and it didnt, it just asked for a password, which is what it should do! ( I just get the error message when I enter my aol address in )

I remember back on Uthgard 1 you could change your email address ingame with a /email command

BUT? I cant login to do this procedure, and get past the login screen using my aol email login

so until whatevers broken my login is fixed or a GM kindly emails me out of the game and helps me change my address so i can login again? I'm stumped!

We have a guildy with same issue. He cant make an account to post on forums either. He reached out to Trishim on irc but she couldnt help. Any other staff able to change login email to get him back on?

No, because we do not do this. The problem is between their email provider and openID, so they need to contact them to fix the problem. This is why we suggest people use facebook or something similar to connect.

Update to help others

Make a facebook account with that address, then use facebook to login

So thish, i am just trying to help here. if he makes a gmail account would he be able to get his toons pulled into from that email? Because i think is where he's having trouble with.
And really appreciated your help whatever you can with this matter. He is in our guild and a lvl47 animist atm.

We asked, they said no.

They want you to contact aol/time warner and have them fix their authentication tools to match uthgard requirements.

The work around we found was to create a facebook account with the aol email. Then login to uthgard with facebook.

Uthgard uses an open Google API for authentication. Any identity provider must be compatible with that.

Thank you Abydos will let him know, not sure how he will do with his old toons on old email account.
