Running WinMTR

If we weren't able to identify connection issues with your pathping or traceroute results, we may ask you to run a WinMTR test. This test requires the use of a 3rd-party program. You shouldn't run a WinMTR test unless requested to by a GM. Follow the steps below to perform this test.

  1. Download WinMTR from the project's site.
  2. Extract the contents of the .zip file to your desktop.
  3. Open the WinMTR folder, then open the folder that matches your version of Windows (32-bit or 64-bit) and run WinMTR.exe.
  4. Enter server.uthgard.net in the Host field. Select a game from the dropdown below for a list of IP addresses.
    Note: If multiple IPs are listed, run a WinMTR test for each IP address.
  5. Click Start, then launch the game you're testing. If no connection issue is found in the first 10 minutes, restart the test.
  6. When a connection error occurs, play for at least 10 more minutes, then click Stop in WinMTR.
  7. Click Copy Text to clipboard and paste the results in an empty .txt file.
  8. Close the WinMTR window.
  9. Sent the .txt file with your results to the GM who requested the WinMTR result.

Note: Publicly posting your WinMTR results may reveal your or others public IP address, a name, a possible location and public DNS names. Please make sure to review the contents before posting.
