Hi all,

i just got my new pc, ceritanly powerful enough to run daoc and a black screen appears when i start the game. I can still hear the music but the screen shows "no signal" until i alt+tab.

Other games like GTAV far cry 4 etc run perfectly.

Windows 10.

Is there anything i can try to do ??

i already have "newer versions" of both of these

did you use any custom ui maybe? if yes, try to login with standard to see if there are any issues with your ui

Newer versions wont help. You MUST install the required versions. You don't need to have ONLY the required versions installed, keep the newer versions for any apps that need them but your Uthgard won't run without the needed versions.

How do i install older versions _ when i try it tells me it cant because i already have newer ones. Should i uninstall the new ones and get the old ? isnt that going to screw up my computer ? Is it still going to work with other games ?

Or is there any way of getting the older version while keeping the new one installed?

wtf are these 2 programs doing ?

Yes of course you can have multiple versions of those programs installed. Follow the instructions carefully and READ every message and pick appropriate responses.

have you got antivirus running? check its not blocking the dll injection

Well, they aren't really apps but rather part of windows.

Installing all the compatible frameworks at once is possible using a software called All in One Runtimes.
It installs all the common runtimes in Windows along with different versions of .NET Framework. The only issue is that the site as well as the software are in German language, but If you use chrome it translates.

Thx, i got the program and installed all the missing stuff but it still doesnt work, game starts, i hear the music, zero video...

is there maybe a way to start uthgard "as administrator" or in window mode before getting to the menu ?

or any other thing that could help ? ^^

Are you sure that you have the same resolution for both the game and your windows?

Hemmm i never had to worry about that in 15 years of daoc !! i cant change game resolution before logging, shall i lower my windows one ? Im using a huge screen. Will try that, but seems weird i have to change windows resolution before and after playing a game !! will let u know !

Nop, still doesnt work changing all kinds of resolution... any other trick i can try or is this my farewell to daoc ?

Do you have some sort of Active Anti-Virus, Active Anti-Malware running? That might slow you down tremendously if something is checking every packet.
