i have a weird problem since today, never had something like that before, it only happens since today for some reason.

As soon as i load up Daoc, or zone/port, or quit, my hdd goes crazy and i have like 1-2 min loading times. daoc doesnt seem to respond in the background. I just have to wait, and everything is fine again, till next port/zoning/loading.

HDD is okay, connection is okay, tried to turn of antivirus, no change. Hadnt had a system nor driverupdate, nor any other change t o my system since yesterday.

Did u try to uninstall Uthgard and reinstall the launcher?

If that doesn't work uninstall daoc and reinstall it, worked for me once when i had the same problem.

Restarting the PC usually temporarily solves the issue until it occurs again. But I have also had the issue when entering DAoC the first time for day... this issue is rather strange and I was unable to track it down to some reproduceable.

That sounds like your graphics cache is a bit small? How much dedicated graphics RAM do you have? The game is having to load a LOT of stuff from your HDD it seams. Having the game installed on a SSD will allow it to load faster. Having a larger dedicated Graphics cache allows it to stay loaded.
