Patch Error

When I launch the Uthgard Launcher it starts patching. Once it reaches a certain point I get the following error.
Something went wrong during patching. Sorry  -- We encountered the error:Failed to download file "frontiers/zones/zone170/tex170.mpk": One or more errors occurred. An exception occurred during a WebClient request. If anybody has any ideas how to fix this or can send me the file. I have tried starting it over many times and even redownloading the launcher. |

Had you completely patched the Live game prior to downloading and patching the launcher? You MUST do all the steps in sequence. See here for the steps needed: https://www2.uthgard.net/howto

I downloaded it completely to where the patcher said play for live. And then I ran the Uthgard patcher. Going to run the live patch on the folder again and then try the Uthgard patcher. If that doesn't work I guess I'll uninstall and then start from square one.

Ok I uninstalled DAoC and did a completely new download. I ran the uthgard patcher and I am getting the same error. It either stops at zone163 or zone170 every time.
Also when I start I get the following, not sure if that's normal or not.

File exists on server side. Can you check if an antivirus tool interferes? We had that case recently with the launcher.

I got to 171 and same error.
Tried running the original ea patcher - it errored in the same place. Unistalled everything, now repatching the original client, all 4 gigs of it will see what happens. (btw antivirus was turned off during this process) <edit> this seems to have done the trick. I can now log in  |

I tried running it without anti virus and firewall has permission. Guess I'll give a fresh install a 3rd try with this stuff off and see if it works. After that, I am not sure what to do.

Hello !
I'm installing Uthgard again and had the same problem. I downloaded the full patch client, fully patched it live. Then installed the launcher, and i'm having the same error message... I tried uninstalling/reinstalling everything 3 times since yesterday, and finally it worked, no idea why. So i guess when you have this error, uninstall uthgard, uninstall DaoC, clear the directories, reboot your computer, try again, and hope for the best ! |
