Death Penalty bug?

Hello. I should start by saying I'm completely new to Dark Age of Camelot (though I'm playing with a veteran friend) so what I am describing here could be an intended feature with an in-game solution; if so I apologise.
But right now I am pretty sure I have a problem or bug of some sort. As we know, when we die we get a death penalty debuff that lowers our maximum constitution that requires you to pay a small fee at a healer to fix. If you die multiple times without going to a healer, the effect stacks and the cost increases. However, despite going to the healer and paying a fee after dying, my constitution isn't being returned to me. The cost and the effects stack continually after death despite paying the fee and sometimes I don't get the Death Penalty debuff at all after dying. It's very confusing and disheartening because it feels like if I die I am permanently ruining my character and might have to eventually remake. I should mention that for the past five or six deaths, the Healer I have been going to is the one in Fort Atla in Gotar, Midgard. Does anyone know if this is an intended feature? I'm conservative about going to a different healer and trying there because I don't want to waste that much silver at only level 9. EDIT: My character name is Relik for anyone who needs the information. Level 9 Thane. |

Go back to the healer and demand a refund!
Seriously though, I've never seen this problem. How do you know that the CON is not being returned? Is it because it shows the deficit on the character panel? Does the problem go away when you restart the client or log back in the next day? Burfo

Aye, it shows the constitution deficit on my character information. It's currently at -6 and requires over 7 silver paid to the healer. ![]() |
