My original post is apparently too 'spamy' for a new user?

I've installed the Net Framework and all of that good stuff. When I go to select my directory there is no camelot exe , so I renamed and tried to use both of the exe files that were in my folder. One was Portal exe and the other was Application exe. After renaming these files the launcher will restart to request admin files and then it prompts to launch camelot.exe to retrieve files. After I click 'OK' the box disappears and the launcher times out. Any suggestions?

Higlights

- There is no Camelot.exe
- - Do I rename "application.exe" or "portal.exe" to "camelot.exe?"

- What is causing my launcher to time out after it prompts to "retrieve patch files?"

- Should I completely uninstall the entire game and try a fresh install?

Did you follow the setup guide?

https://uthgard.org/howto#2

You need to install the full daoc client before our launcher will work.

I fixed it, thank you. Yeah, it needed the full client. I'm patching now, hopefully there are no more issues.

I haven't touched the game or any of its contents in five years; I forgot what folder was which. Thank you for the quick response. I've spent 13 hour straight patching my windows, getting the Net Framework installed, the game files installed, and now the official patch for Uthgard. Some things never change.

Now I'm getting the 'injection failed' error... Rats.

"You need to install the Visual C++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015 for x86 to play on Uthgard."

My machine says another version of this already exists. Any suggestions?

I've tried both the x64 and the x86 exe files ; neither of them will install. I have several outdated version still installed. I'm going to try removing them now, I guess. C++ 2012, 2013, and 2015 are listed here in Program Files. These were installed with my regularly scheduled Windows Updates, so I didn't know if they should be removed, or not?

C++ 2005 Redis.
C++ 2008 Redis.
C++ 2010 x64 Design
C++ 2010 x64 Runtime
C++ 1010 x86 etc. etc.

The list goes on, and on...
