Account wiped - don't know why - help :)

Thanks for all the great work, Uthgard team (no sarcasm, I really mean it!).
Hey, found I can no longer log into my account this morning; or, to be specific, I can log in via the new method but the account is now empty -- no characters on it at all. I do not have a gmail account but a regular email. Login has worked fine so far via the openID approach but something about the recent changes seems to have affected me. Don't know what can be done to help but someone should probably check into it in case this affects other people (and, if possible, I'd really like my toon back!). At the risk of revealing some private information I will let everyone know that the email I play under is drew at agoranova dot cee oh em (again, not a gmail account). My primary toon was a 46 Runemaster named Bazin (hope I don't lose it -- though I know it's only beta). The website indicates that the account is in good standing. But when I look at the "Manage Accounts" section under Account1 (the only one I have) it says "empty". Bummer . . . Really don't want to have to start over . . . thanks for any help. If the Uthgard staff needs to reach me I will be checking the above email. Thx! |

Can you try checking your account again? 3 users had duplicate accounts (which must have happened during account creation somehow)

Wow, thanks for the speedy response. Hard to believe this is a free shard.
I just tried to log in again and the account is still empty. Don't know what I'm doing wrong. I CAN log in, though, which is a positive so that's not, and has never been, the issue. I will try again later. Perhaps it just hasn't cycled through yet. Again, thx for the response! |

Success! For those who are curious as to the resolution -- during the switchover from my old method of logging in to the new one I completely didn't notice I was using a different/older email account instead of the NEW gmail one I created just to do the Uthgard beta.
Yes, 100% user error on my part. And, the Uthgard staff (thx bunches TheKrokodil) was courteous, prompt and helpful without making me feel like an idiot -- which I obviously am. How do they put up with us (me?). Show me a better free shard anywhere and I'll say you're lying ![]() |

This is one of the main reasons why I wanted the "Play!" button on the main page. So many players did not notice that they were accidentally logged into the wrong account, which can be an insanely painful experience if you reformat your machine after a year, and then come back to empty accounts ...
