So could someone give me a quick walkthrought with installing? I've downloaded DAoC EU client, installed Darkness Rising into the DAoC Browser and now patching it to 1.87, or whatever this autopatch is patching to.
So what do I do after that? I'm kinda confused right now. Well now I'm working with the connect thing, hope I get it to work. Now it keeps on saying Game file was not found? ARGH! could someone post a picture of how the connect should be? I mean do I put D:\and the path here, or (D:)\path or Paikallinen Levy (D:)\ to the game path or what!? I'm so confused with this. This is how it looks for me right now, everything right? still says can't find the damn game file. I'm usin DOLloader.... @echo off rem *************************************************************************** rem * rem * The commandline of the launcher is the following rem * @DOLLoader "D:\Pelit\Dark Age of Camelot\game.dll" 89.238.64.166 10300 1 rem * rem * D:\Pelit\Dark Age of Camelot\game.dll <- Set to the file you want to execute eg. D:\camelot\game.dll rem * 89.238.64.166Port: 10300 <- Set to the ip address where you want to connect rem * 1 <- Put a 1 here if you use 1.74+ client version rem * Port: 10300 <- Set to the port where you want to connect rem * <- Set to your username rem * <- Set to your password rem * rem * Example for a 1.74+ client: rem * DOLLoader game.dll 127.0.0.1 10300 1 testuser testpassword rem * rem * Example for a 1.73 or lower client: rem * DOLLoader game.dll 127.0.0.1 10300 testuser testpassword rem * rem * PLEASE NOTE! EDIT only the things under this line (DOLLOADER game.dll .....) rem *************************************************************************** @DOLLoader game.dll 192.168.0.1 10300 1 username password I removed the username and password so u won't see it ![]() Last edited by Shubop on Apr 29, 2007 23:16, edited 1 time in total.

See the second but last rem line? You made the same mistake as so many people before you -- you entered your data into the example section! You need to put @DOLLoader "D:\Pelit\Dark Age of Camelot\game.dll" 89.238.64.166 10300 1 xxxxxx yyyyyy into the last line instead of @DOLLoader game.dll 192.168.0.1 10300 1 username password. (Btw: It seems you failed to remove all occurrences of your intended username/password combination. You probably want to use another one now...
![]() If you still can't figure it out, there are other launchers which you can find in the Downloads > Misc section...such as the Uthgard Launcher (right at the bottom). [Edit: removed revealing user information] Last edited by T-Man on Apr 30, 2007 08:27, edited 1 time in total.
Happy hunting!

seems like I did forgot the username stuff >_>....
Oh and it still says "Game file was not found" or something like that. do I put D:\ or(D: )\ (had to put space there because it would turn into an emote) or Paikallinen Levy (D: )\ I made it look like this: @echo off rem *************************************************************************** rem * rem * The commandline of the launcher is the following rem * DOLLoader {Path to game.dll or tgame.dll} {ip_address} {port} [1 for 1.74+ clients] {username} {password} rem * rem * {Path to game.dll or tgame.dll} <- Set to the file you want to execute eg. D:\camelot\game.dll rem * {ip_address} <- Set to the ip address where you want to connect rem * [1 for 1.74+ clients] <- Put a 1 here if you use 1.74+ client version rem * {port} <- Set to the port where you want to connect rem * {username} <- Set to your username rem * {password} <- Set to your password rem * rem * Example for a 1.74+ client: rem * DOLLoader game.dll 127.0.0.1 10300 1 testuser testpassword rem * rem * Example for a 1.73 or lower client: rem * DOLLoader game.dll 127.0.0.1 10300 testuser testpassword rem * rem * PLEASE NOTE! EDIT only the things under this line (DOLLOADER game.dll .....) rem *************************************************************************** @DOLLoader "D:\Pelit\Dark Age of Camelot\game.dll" 89.238.64.166 10300 1 username password |

Well, I've decided to try the Uthgard launcher. I'll tell later does it work.
BTW could you delete that username and password from your post ![]() |
|
OK, good luck then. Your last post actually looks good. (D:\ is the right way to write it - no parentheses required.) Thus, it should work when there is a game.dll in your D:\Pelit\Dark Age of Camelot\ directory and DOLLoader.exe in the same directory as connect.bat.
Happy hunting!

Hhmmm... I kinda burned my nerves with that launcher so I deleted it and tried the Uthgard launcher. It took me into the game and now I think I just must create a char, see ya all soon
![]() But why does the launcher say "Update check failed: could not connect to remote server" and then it takes me into to the launcher? Why every time I launch the Uthgard launcher, it takes me into the launching screen and loads to about 95% of the game, and then say: "Service not available" "Hit Esc to quit" ![]() pfftt... Having problem with my Windows Explorer. No firewall shouldn't prevent it but still doesn't work... I hope this Windows update fixes it. |

WAHHEY! I no longer need help. I got the Uthgard client working just fine and am playing right now on that.... Norse thing side
