I am contentiously going Link dead or lagging out. i have an 80 meg connection speed and it is not a problem on my end. i have had this same problem a few months ago. Something happened and it was gone, now it is back. it makes it very hard to play when you go LD all the time.. my location is Newfoundland, Canada.

Hard to say what it is about if you have that problem and no one other does at same time due to server problems it ´s probably a connection or hardware issue. If you have data package loss and connection broke up it ´s maybe a router problem, only the sever connection breakes up or whole internet connection? do you only have problems with daoc running or other games too?
Maybe Try to update your router and contact your internet provider for connection check, that ´s the first step I would start first to solve the problem, I had an equal problem and at the end my interntet provider told me my router is broken.

A quick check to make sure whether or not your provider is at fault:

• Open 2 separate command prompts (for WinVista/7/8, open the start menu, enter "cmd" in the search box, confirm with the enter key);
• enter the following in the command prompts (one in each):
  

  Code: Select all

  ping -t server.uthgard.net

  
  

  Code: Select all

  ping -t google.com

  
  (the -t parameter tells the ping.exe to continuously send pings until cancelled using Ctrl + C)
• Leave both of them running while you play.

Then, the next time you go linkdead, check both of the windows to see whether your latency has been spiking in both windows or just on Uthgard. If you're in doubt, you can post your logs here (or send them to me via PM) for evaluation. Please also mention the exact time you go LD, so there's a point of reference.
