logging in on different computers

Hello!

I have been playing on my stationary Alienware ( home IP -cable modem) but as I also have a laptop I was exepecting
to be able to log in on this also(different IP - wireless network elsewhere -parent's house) but that don't seem to be the case..game seems to start up fine but ends up with "Hit esc to exit"..is my first used IP somehow locked to my account?

If you type an account password wrong 1o times you will be banned for a hour as a brute force protection.
