i can log in but can't play??

It started when i lvl to 15 but i didn't lvl... i'm still 14 so i logged off quit from the game, then tried to log back on. I got to the character screen but when i press play it brings me to a black screen then brings the loading picture with no loading bar that says error.
What is going on??? i tried to patch but it wont let me patch now either i have DAoCPortal 2.8c I'm so confused and frustrated. :wall:

Might be related to new patch today.
Might repatch to live, and then patch via portal.

Delete mft.myp from your installation directory, and then launch camelot.exe. Once it's done, use Portal to update to Uthgard.

Make sure portal is pointing to your installation directory in settings.
