Hi
I have an issue with an account password. When i used portal v1.25 i was able to use special characters in a password and that logged in fine. However, i have now updated to 1.113 and now the account that uses the special character (its a backslash) no longer works. I have used Account Recovery twice but no emails have been received and its been a week now since i first tried recovering it. Is the account recovery process handled by a person or is it supposed to be an automated process? the process suggests i wait 5 minutes for the email and so far i have waited many 5 minutes's ![]() Am i expected to beg in IRC or something to get this cleared or is there just a massive delay on when the automated system send emails out? |

it sometimes stops working, but usually its back 1h or 30 mins later. You can acc recover each 5 mins, so just wait till you get an email (toaken prolly expired by then) and then do another recovery immediatly and you should get a 2nd email right after.

still no email recieved when i use the "i forgot my password" option; so im trying "i've forgotten my account name" instead...
maybe it cant send me a password reminder because it doesnt like the password i had.. |

Are you sure it is caused by the backslash? With the newest Portal the server will accept passwords longer than 20 characters. If you previously had a password with more than 20 characters, only the first 20 would be sent to the server. If this is the case, try logging in with the first 20 chars of your password only.

Thanks for the input. Unfortunately the password was exactly 9 characters and beginning with \. Unless of course i have been hacked and someone has changed the password. Is there anyway to send an email reminder manually? the problem with emails is because i own my domain and it has a catch all set on it, i tend to just use whatever pops in my head as the mailbox. ![]() If an email can be sent, i wont need to remember what i set the email to. I can PM you any information you need. |

The account recovery that doesn't submit the form is automatic - it gets sent to the e-mail on file. If an e-mail is on file, we do not process the recovery manually, as we hold the e-mail owner as the owner of the account. If you have lost access to the e-mail account on file, no recovery is possible.
I have verified account recovery is indeed sending e-mails, so it is either your provider filtering it or you are misremembering which e-mail is registered. We do not reveal the e-mail on file for privacy reasons. |

i have acccess to the email account but no email is received and i know that the problem is not a filtering issue...
i've just tried Account Recovery just now, and it is now saying "Account name invalid" so it looks like someonoe has deleted the account instead, even though my character appears on the herald. many thanks. ![]() |

Please PM me the char name. If the char is in the herald, he isn't deleted. |
