I am having trouble connecting to the game and wondering if anyone can offer any help.
I am sometimes able to get to the character selection screen, but upon selecting one, it wil either load for a bit (with a black screen) and then just freeze like that until I hit ESC; or it goes to the loading screen and be stuck at 100%.
On a rare occasion it will actually let me into the game, where it LDs me in about 20 seconds...

I get a mix of error messages like:
-Service not available
-an error has occurred and you are unable to connect
and sometimes "you are already logged in", even though the loading screen freezes at 100% (have to hit ESC, which usually causes entire game window to disappear).


I tried reinstalling DAoCPortal, and tried to connect with v2.6 AND v2.8 both gave me the same problems.
The game is already downgraded to the 1.109 version game.dll.

Was previously also getting DAoCPortal has stopped working pop up which was fixed with reinstalling it...
Using Windows 7 on a laptop. Tried disabling firewall and antivirus. Still not able to log on.

do you have one board grafik or a card?
did you reinstalled the windows in the last time?
do you have the same problem with all chars?
do you have problems with other games?
same problem with other daoc server?

- try to connect without downgrade
- run daoc portal as administrator
- try newest or older grafik drivers
- try to install/-re framenetwork 4.0 drivers
- check in options: custum ui should be disabled
- try with other resolutions
- try with and without window mode
- try to log in with classic skins

fa comodo firewall is still activ if it is disabled
or if you disabled it windows firewall can block it turn it also off
- deinstall the firewall/antivirus programm for a test

As you can see last 4 hops i am losing several packets, roughly 50% and this loss is maing me Link Dead and not even letting me get past intial loading screen.

now I have no idea if there is a way to fix this or if we have to wait it out but it is really annoying not being able to get on the server lol.

well there are some ways
some cost money, some take ages cause of phone calls and loops.
