Since I began alchemy on my Warden I've run into this issue time after time...
To explain as simply as possible there is a miss-match between alchemy recipes and what is really needed, Further more, the recipe is fairly confusing to any new time alchemist or in my case, people with less then satisfactory memory.
I've met the problem every time I do regeneration potions - as far as I know thats the only type thats affected.

For instance, if you wish to create a Weak Elixir of Replenishment (lvl10 mana) you are met with the following recipe:
    2 dusty distills
    1 earthen distill
    1 Boiled St. John's wort
    1 crushed brown focus stone
While majority of the ingredients is true some of the mentioned won't be needed or not in the given number. What the ingredients list does not tell you is, that to create a regeneration potion first thing is first - you need to make an ordinary Weak elixir of power before you can then change that into a regeneration potion - using a few extra materials.

If you take the complete ingredient list from both;
    Weak Elixir of Power
    1 dusty distills
    1 earthen distill
    1 Boiled St. John's wort
    Weak Elixir of Replenishment
    2 dusty distills
    1 earthen distill
    1 Boiled St. John's wort
    1 crushed brown focus stone
...one would think that it covered all the materials needed to create and transform the required potion - but no! You still lack ONE final ingredient to even transform the first potion - an airy distill.

When you then finally get to the alchemy table and transform your instant power source to a nice, gentle replenishment potion you realize that half the s**t you just bought weren't even used ;P
All the transformation required was;
    1 airy distill
In the end the recipe should look like this;
    Weak Elixir of Replenishment
    1 dusty distill
    1 earthen distill
    1 airy distill
    1 Boiled St. John's Wort
    1 crushed brown focus stone
Since it's only in the "Special Potions" where the recipe's seem off it shouldn't be too much work to correct it (I hope). It would also be really nice if it was possible to inform if an item requires a prerequisite item, and if so which item that is. I realize that the last bit may affect more then just the alchemy craft but as it's 2ndary priority I'd consider that bit of a luxury more then necessary.

Every potion ingredient list is, at this time - affected by this miss-match. Hope that you will get the time to correct it at some point.

No...erh, can't say I had. I have now though - thanks for the tip!
If that's already taken care of then you might as well close or remove this thread :)

In that case:

Locked!

Edit: Unlocked again, I received information that the crafting fix still has erroneous recipes for certain things. You can continue posting corrected recipes in here.

I applied the crafting fix but I'm continuing to have the reported recipe miss match on the following:
    Weak Elixir of Replenishment (529)
    Elixir of Replenishment (574)
    Improved Elixir of Refreshment (649)
I'm only skill level 732 so I can't speak for anything above that.
I downloaded the fix and applied it to the main game folder overwriting an existing file in the process. I assume it's the right procedure?

I'll continue to report in as I go up in skill :) Thanks for addressing it so fast!

No its not the right procedure, you have to put the fix on the folder MODS in Daoc Portal, then open daoc portal, go in Client, Mod manager, Check the Alchemy fix and click on Patch.

Edit : If the MODS folder dont exist in ur daoc portal folder, create it and then put the alchem fix in it, and do what i said after.

It's done when it's done. Thanks for your patience.

can you please tell more about this?

regarding to "never change a runnig system" i disabled updates from DAOCportal,
because i thought any changes to the game would come from server.

is it recommend to get DAOCportal updates if game runs fine ?

With your permission, daocportal can patch the mods required to play here. For this reason it is recommended to allow daocportal updates. Some time in the future we will require daocportal, and possibly require server-patched mods to ensure that everyone has the same packages.
