I'm wondering if there is a way to move my DAOC files, all of the systemfiles out of the userfolder...

Elaborate. If you explain exactly what you're trying to accomplish, I might be able to tell you if you're on the right track.

I need to move the daoc files in my documenta folder and the app data folder out of the users folder so they are not included in the company backup.

The most you could hope for is creating a hardlink, but any backup program or script will follow that to the new location.

one of our players, Liss, has experience setting up DAOC in a sandbox (so all files should be contained). Maybe he can help?

or you can just tell the My Documents folder to move to another location by right clicking it. The backup shouldn't follow where you have it relocated to?

or Like Abydos says, try Sandboxie.

Problem is that it is on a remote folder, and on my computer only as an offline folder, this is domain policy.

then your only choice is to try a sandbox.. it should stop it writing to the actual Users folder

Write a run.bat file that
1. Copy your Electronic Arts directory to your "My documents" folder from wherever you want
2. Run daoc

And write a "clean.bat" to move it back from "My documents" to the wherever you want.

(to move and overwrite destinations files without confirmation, use move /Y on windows)
