My brother is having a problem getting the game to start. I walked him through the entire process on the How To Connect page (which is the exact process I followed). However when he starts Portal, types in a username and password and presses the play button, nothing happens. He doesn't get any error messages or notifications. His cursor briefly changes to an hourglass, and then goes right back to an arrow with no results, just the DAoCPortal window and his desktop. No loading screen or anything. I had him try a couple different usernames and passwords, but nothing.

We tried once on Wednesday night, and then last night I had him uninstall and delete everything concerning DAoC and DAoCPortal. I then walked him through again and still the same result.

Does anyone have any idea as to what may be wrong? Any help or advice would be appreciated.

could be you need microsoft .net framework 3.5 (comes with windows 7)

also make sure you have the client # and directory set properly
