Greetings. I am having a problem installing Tajendi2. The download from this website will not work so I found a stand-alone of Tajendi 1 and that installed correctly, however, Taj2 still will not install.

The error I am getting is "Error while generating directory structure
broken uncompressed block" MODMGR Failure

EDIT: I also get this error randomly "Error while generating directory structure
Adler chksum doesn't match: -392417907 vs. -686335511"

Below is my DXDIAG, copy / pasted. Please help! The counters to the problem that I have tried are as follows:

Re-downloaded Taj2 download 4 times to ensure it was not a "corrupt" file I had downloaded. Updated .NET framework to 4.0. Ran DAOCPortal as ADMINISTRATOR which gives MODMGR admin rights as well. Rebooted. Updated drivers. Rebooted again. Doubleclicked download to ensure it was in the right mods folder. Nothing has solved this problem. My computer is updated VIA Windows UPDATE. Also, will having the latest .NET framework allow the modmgr to update or do I need an older version? I see a post where someone had a smiliar problem but it does not state if they ever corrected the issue.

also you need .net 3.5.1+ i would go with 4.0

does your daoc-portal directory contain a folder called mods, which incudes your mods you want to install?

also regarding the link i posted its not good to patch tajendi1 and 2 at the same time if you have so.

I have tried everything on these forums in regards to this particular issue. I do have the mods folder, I have ensured the path is directed towards the right game folder, I have downloaded and re-downloaded the taj2 file due to it possibly being "corrupt". Nothing has really been stated on how to fix this. I've run as admin, I've right clicked the file directly and opened with modmanager and it tells me it has been installed successfully but no real patching occurs.

All i/o exceptions containing the "Error while generating directory structure" are most definitely caused by a corrupted .dmm file, as this is the place where the actual content of a .dmm file is first decompressed.

Two possible main causes for this:

a) The .dmm file really is just corrupted on your hard drive ... (most likely)
1) .. and you are just replacing it with another corrupted copy
2) .. or you are not replacing the broken file as you are putting it in the wrong directory

b) Something in your system corrupts the i/o transfer, or the validation .. (rather unlikely)
1.) .. broken SATA driver or something
2.) .. unstable CPU/IO clock

I'd just recommend searching for all existing "uth_tajendi2.dmm" on your computer, and replacing those with a freshly downloaded ones (..from a different mirror). Just be sure you catch every instance of it, as there always has been some confusion of where DAoCPortal stores the .dmm files.

PROBLEM SOLVED.

Thanks to my awesome guild leader and all the input of the posters here, we have come to a resolution.

I managed to download the file to a flash-drive from an EXTERNAL mirror of uthgard.net which can be found at:

Installed without a hitch. Not sure if it's because it's hosted on a different site and may have a few files missing that was giving my computer issues or because it was downloaded to a flash-drive. Either way, PROBLEM FIXED.
