Have a small problem. Well everyone in Canada that plays this has the same problem. why do we all go LD at the same time? Why do we suffer from Lag and LD all the time when other players don't? Could anyone help with this or is this something that is going to keep happening with no support or help in getting around this?

That's pretty odd. I visit Ottawa a few times a year and play on my laptop when sitting in the hotel after work. I've had no issues at all. Do you have similar issues with other games by chance? You might play the trial for Live and see if you have the same issues. Might help narrow down the cause.

I generally have few problems in southern Ontario on my Bell DSL.

I will suffer from the occasional mass LD, but that is for many across all North America (and you can tell when that's happened bc like 20 people will log on IRC and go OMG UTHGARD Y U NO WORK)

New North American player here, getting LD issues. This morning it now says "Service not Available" when logging onto the server, and sometimes when I do log onto my character, I go LD within a few minutes. Is this a common situation on the server for non-EU players? Is there a reason for this problem, and a fix?

I Ld within minutes, sometimes on character load daoc just exits out completly and sometimes server acts like it is down.

Maybe its our epic snowstorm but its annoying since i had no issues till 3am EST then went to bed and came back to this

Having the same issue for me and 3 of my buddies,

We just assumed it was a server issue, is it only happening for people in North America?

It seems that talking with in game people. that this problem is effecting everyone from North America. Can you look into this and see what is causeing this please?

Was having issue around feb 24th with others here, returned in a bad way tonight. Game is freezing with a full log in bar, character is in game but nothing happens on my end. When I do get in, unplayable lag.

Internet is working fine, even other daoc shards are working fine.

Also in Southern Ontario.

Any news on where this issues is going to be fixed, or do the players in N.A. have to live with the bag lad and LD's while playing?

Is there an update for the problems with the north american LAG and Link Dead issues. there has been no work or contact. please look into this

I live in North America, and I have been going LD every 30 minutes or so. I went to the post that was linked, and it said many people with cable internet connections have the same problem. I do get my internet through cable (comcast). The suggestion of course was "just change your internet provider".

I also have the other problem mentioned here, where AFTER an LD occurs it will not let me log back in to the game for 5 to 10 minutes, saying Service is not Available.

Probably going to quit, I cannot get anywhere going LD every 30 minutes, and I cannot just change my internet provider to something more expensive for a game.

You are not alone! Many are having this problem.

East coast of the US here, and I have been having LD issues for weeks now. I usually experience them in the afternoon here (EST) and don't seem to have them at night. But, during the afternoon, it is almost unplayable, and to make it worse I can't re-connect immediately when I go LD. It takes forever to get back in game.
