When I try to download the Classic patch I get this message.
File: uth_classic.dmm To open this file, Windows needs to know what program you want to use to open it. Windows can go online to look it up automatically, or you can manually select from a list of programs that are installed on your computer. I can then choose a web service or select a program from a list of installed programs. Any ideas on what I did wrong? |

III. Installing additional patches
Note: Due to the many changes on the official servers, you will have to install the classic patch to be able to play . The patch enables the access to the old frontiers. To install it you need the newest version of DAoC Portal. If you do not install it, you cannot access the frontiers. Note: If you are using Windows Vista or Windows 7, you have to run DAoC Portal with administrator permissions to execute the patcher. Rightclick on your DAoC Portal Shortcut or the executable and click on "Run as administrator". Note: If you execute the camelot.exe in your DAoC installation directory lateron, all custom patches/mods will be removed. If you update your game client, you will have to reinstall the mods. Download the classic patch under mods in our download section. Place the file in the mods directory in the DAoC Portal folder (e.g.: C:\Program Files\DAoC Portal\mods). If the mods folder does not exist, create it. Launch DAoC Portal and click on Mod manager in the Client menu. Select the patch in the table and click on the Patch button. You may also want to install Tajendi, our custom zone. Sooner or later you may want to go there. It's way easier if you have already installed it then. |
