Cant get Uthgard running

I have followed the "How to connect" guide and still it loads the game all the way until the last part of the bar and just gives me a message saying "Press ESC to close client".
Anything i need to update or configure? I am running the latest US client of DAoC, i have DAoC portal 2.6, Windows 7 64 bit. Also patched the game with the OF patch. What am i missing  |

it seems to be trying to connect to the original server still. Have tried running everything as admin.

Having the same problem man, when you bring up DAOC portal and go to settings does it give you the option of running it as EU or US? because it doesn't give me this option and when I get the error message it says to update to EU version.

If you have patched to the newest version of DAoC you will need a patch 1.109 dll and replace it with your current dll
