I just started playing here and I am trying to resolve my latency. I have reinstalled my portal launcher, made sure my firewall does not block DAoC, run as administrator, I have win7. A friend of mine also uses win7, lives not but 4 miles from me and uses the same ISP, and he says he has a few seconds of lag when he first logs in, but it completely clears up. We play several online games together and our ping / latency is usually within 10% of each other's.
-Is there an in-game latency or fps monitor? This would help determine if its me or my connection
-The portal tutorial video says to click on EU settings, even if I live in the U.S., but that option never comes up for me, am I doing something wrong?

I live on east coast, U.S. I have to admit, I'm not even sure where Uthgard is located. Do other U.S. ESTers have lag issues?

I'm in the midwest, but when i log on off and on i havn't been having any unusual lag just the usual now and then.
