I downloaded US client, installed it, but the version is 1.83
As far asi i know, server doesnt support it. So pls, is there any way to downgrade actual version?

Maybe the problem is i have downloaded neither Catacombs nor Toa... Could this be it?

I think I got a simialir problem, each time I try to log-in it says loading v.184 atlantis (which I didn't dowload yet), then it connects to the servers adress (217.171.203.88) opens the stream and datagram sockets and fails to connect to the service.

Anyone got an idea what I did wrong, or do I need to downgrade it somehow?

as far as i understood that 1.84 thing is that you can still connect and play on this server.
only crafters will have problems trying to craft.

The written IP was correct as is. The problem with it is that 8 plus closing parentheses is the shortcut for the Cool smily ( ).

i use 1.84 atm, dunno how i ever upgraded but must have been when i was tying out metty's launcher while the server was still down

i only found changes in crafting for now, when you make chain, in 1.83 you need lining and metal, in 1.84 it just shows all the material and when you try to make your chain you get the message you need the lining...

i also had several problems with mobs leaving and popping up again after a few minutes, specially in SB, you attack one, and the others vanish, same thing when a killed mob repsawns, the others just vanish...

restarting the game solved it but after another relog they started to do it again... dunno if thats because of 1.84

i also heard some drakes in cornwall seem to be in the wrong place...

but for rvr or the lower lvl mobs i had no probs so far.

it shouldn't be the version then, but what did I do wrong then, do I need to have installed shrouded mists or atlantis, before I try to log-in? Or is it something else?

maybe there is a mistake in your connect.bat ?

I'll check the specifications of mine connect.bat at the next opportiunity I got then. At least thanx for your help with this, even if it stops here or we can't find the problem.

I use the one in loader to start the game.
