How do I appeal or request more info on a ban?

I haven't played on here and quite sometime. Coming back I couldn't even remember my login info. When my friend looked on his friends list and gave me my toons names I couldn't find them listed on the herald even though other chars I have on another account were showing up. So I searched the forum and apparently my char was banned for "3rd party programs". Seeing as I don't cheat how do I get more info on this because I'd really rather not have to start over ?
