Hej guys.

im using win xp32 bit, decent setup with up to date drivers and i just cant get daoc portal working as intended.

i downloaded daoc -> patched it. downloaded daoc portal , installed it , installed mods, set the path of installed daoc folder. all working so far.

now the error occurs.

If i click on any shard, daoc portal pops up an instant error (c&p)

FATAL: Unhandled Exception:

System.ArgumentException: Der Wert liegt außerhalb des erwarteten Bereichs.
bei System.Windows.Forms.UnsafeNativeMethods.IWebBrowser2.Navigate2(Object& URL, Object& flags, Object& targetFrameName, Object& postData, Object& headers)
bei System.Windows.Forms.WebBrowser.PerformNavigate2(Object& URL, Object& flags, Object& targetFrameName, Object& postData, Object& headers)
bei System.Windows.Forms.WebBrowser.PerformNavigateHelper(String urlString, Boolean newWindow, String targetFrameName, Byte[] postData, String headers)

bei System.Threading.ThreadHelper.ThreadStart_Context(Object state)
bei System.Threading.ExecutionContext.Run(ExecutionContext executionContext, ContextCallback callback, Object state)
bei System.Threading.ThreadHelper.ThreadStart()

now wtf ?! anyone got a solution for this ? i tried to reinstall severall times, no change.

The issue is caused by the underlying implementation of the webbrowser, which (as .NET is by MS) makes use of the Internet Explorer. Check your IE installation, or google for "System.ArgumentException System.Windows.Forms.UnsafeNativeMethods.IWebBrowser2.Navigate2"
Be nice. :)

Also be certain you have applied the .NET Framework updates and security patches. .NET 3.5 sp1 with all updates should do just fine.
