Greetings all. I have had some trouble recently with installing the classic patch on the website.

First. I can log into DAoC fine. Created a character and zoned into the world. DaoC as far as I know is fully patched with the Mythic Patcher.

Daoc Portal is working ( to my understanding ) as far as logging into the game world is concerned. However, I downloaded the classic patch, and the patcher will not install it. I receive a few error messages when I goto install the patch. I will write them out for you below.

System.IO.IOException: The process cannot access the file 'E:\Programs\mods\uth_classic.dmm' because it is being used by another process.
at System.IO.__Error.WinIOError(Int32 errorCode, String maybeFullPath)
at System.IO.File.InternalCopy(String sourceFileName, String destFileName, Boolean overwrite)
at ModManager.Program.a(String A_0)
at DAoCPortal.Program.Main(String[] args)


That message is when I attempt to run the patch from the file directly.

Alternatively, if I follow the instructions listed on the home page. I receive this error.

"Unhandled exception has occured in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will close immediately.
The process cannot access the file 'E:\games\Electronic Arts\Dark Age of Camelot\login.dll' because it is being used by another process. "

If i click continue the "Updating Client bar will appear" but i have let it sit for hours on end with no progress.

I am at a loss as to how i might go about fixing this, any insight into the matter would be greatly appreciated. I look forward to seeing you on the classic fields of battle.

Reboot your computer and clean start DAoCPortal and patch.
