daocportal 2.3 mallware/virus/trojan alert!

As you can see from the title and in some other threads this client you download on the dol server
http://portal.dolserver.net/?page=downloads is sometimes filled with virus, mallware and trojans as my avg 9.0 scanner detects It was the main reason why my daoc was laging very hard(my lag thread) http://uthgard.net/index.php?option=com_jfusion&Itemid=53&lang=en&jfile=viewtopic.php&f=15&t=22433 Now i have found an older version and daoc works fine without lag once again. if you have the same problems having huge lag spikes i have uploaded the older daoc portal that i found on the internet http://www.2shared.com/file/qj9gkxFY/DAoC-Portal.html bugs with this older portal is you can't upload mods, but if you have done them with the 2.3one (the newest) it will still save on this one. Also don't update the older daoc portal just leave it like that until dol fixes this. if you don't have any problems yet... you will soon  |

There is no virus. Its a false report by AVG. I'm quite sure you mix things up with your problem. Nobody else has such ping delays.

many people have lag problems while you still have a good server, and some people also have the same problems like me read it on the lag thread maybe not that many but this atleast helped for me. |

Most of the lags are server side or because they live in US. Nobody ever reported to have bad ping times to GOOGLE cause of DAoCPortal. That was what you tested. Believe me nobody has ping delays of 2500ms. The issue is on your side. It's done when it's done. Thanks for your patience.

My avg gives a false positive on the daoc file but my lag is due to telia.net when i route to server not the false positive

Ihad a trojan previously in the dll.login file or something like that. I think got it from a link that was a login link that i used when i thought the server select screen wasnt working. However it wasnt from the DoL site it was off a link from the site and gave option to log in server
While i had this trojan on computer the game was running incredibly slow AVG found trojan horse dropper in the login dll file and cleaned it. that was over a month ago and i havent had problem since..I only log in from the server select screen now also the virus didnt come from the daoc portal client it was affecting the portal client even when i reinstalled the game untill the virus was cleaned |

Again, it seems I have to repeat that once more. AVG does falsely detect login.dll or DAoCPortal as virus/trojan. Some heuristics they use rings bells. There is no virus in DAoCPortal or in login.dll

i use NOD, no daoc portal on my pc, and still i lag badly, since abouth 10 day's nothing changed on my pc, no nex software or hardware, yesterday i had lagspikes for over 2 minutes and i was certain i was linkdead, but i didn't .. weird..
