logging into uthgard disconnects from internet

Hi there, I am trying to help a friend of mine play on uthgard, is he runing v1.104 of the client, he created his char no problem but soon as he logs in his interenet conection goes. His character appears ingame and then goes LD and the connection on his PC drops....Anyone have any idea what can be happening? Any reason logging in can cause his internet connection to stop working?

Any help much apreciated.

Uhm, sounds like quite a weird problem. Is it a wired connection, or wireless? Does he have similar problems with other online games?

It's a wired connection, only 1 pc connected straight to the broadband modem. He used to play DAoC on the live servers a few years ago, so the computer should be able to play Uthgard with no problem. Bit of a weird one alright...
