Hi guys,

I played Uthgard for a long time without any problems whatsoever.

However, after a break from playing i come back and find that i am getting uncontrollable lag issues.
Since playing i have changed my pc specs and upgraded to W7 so i think it may be something to do with that yet i still cannot work it out.

I have tried a number of things to try and fix the problem but nothing seems to work. Ive tried playing with the registry , downloading Internet priority software. I changed my cpu to give high priority to game.dll. But like i said , i cant fix the problem.

My lag meter on daoc gives me a red square on the L every now and then and sometimes a red square on the P as well.

Ive tested my upload and download speeds which are all ok ( Download = 43.3 mb/s -- Upload 1.6 mb's ) and ran a few traceroutes to uthgard.game-server.cc which all look ok (not that i know what it all means).

Please if anybody has any other ideas then let me know asap. Uthgard is barely playable. I say barely because crafting isnt so bad

erm?

im pretty sure that most of Uthgard dont just stand and craft all day like i am forced to do.

Im talking about serious lag issues every minute or so. /stick on my mate isnt even possible in jordheim let alone thidranki or emain.

Nope, im hardwired into my router then to the modem.
There is only 1 other pc using the router in the household which doesnt get used that much so its mostly just me using my connection.

Sorry for the bump but i thought i would share this imformation for anybody else with any problems.

As far as my lag was concerned, I'm pretty sure it was being caused by my secondary hard drive. I think the drive was too slow. Altho i dont know the reason, this caused the lag so it may be a good question to ask if anybody has any ideas.

DAoC and the DAoC Portal were both stored on my primary hard drive so i dont really understand how the secondary drive was causing the issue. Tho the (hopefully) solution for me was to remove the secondary drive completely.

If anybody knows the specific reason as to why this is as it is then please share because i would ultimately like to have a second drive on my computer.
