Hi all, I've having problems trying to install patches to DAOC Portal.

At one point in the past, I managed to install the crafting fix, but I don't remember how I did that. Anytime I try to install the classic RvR zones, Tajendi or the classic icons, the process fails.

I start DAOC Portal, then click Client --> Mod Manager --> Accept and it brings up a list of all the patches (.dmm files) that I've placed in the <\mods> folder. I click the box to select the patch, click the "Patch" button, and this pops up:

"Unhandled exception has occurred in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. If you click Quit, the application will close immediately.

"Access to the path 'C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Dark Age of Camelot\modmgr.log' is denied."

Then there are three buttons at the bottom of the dialog box: Details, Continue and Quit.

If I click "Continue" and exit out of the Mod Manager box, when I try to log onto Uthgard as normal a box pops up that says:

"The required DOLLoader.exe was not found!"

I have tried everything I can think of and can't fix it. When I double-click on the .dmm files, it just brings up the box asking what program I want to use to open the files. The reason I'm trying to implement them is because I've been playing on Hib and using the BGs just fine, but tonight I went to play Alb and couldn't see any NPCs in CS. I'm assuming it has something to do with the classic patch. It's especially maddening because I KNOW I've installed the crafting fix in the past, but don't remember how I did it. It's not listed in the Mod Manager as a patch, so I must have installed it some other way?

Please help! Thanks!

"Access to the path 'C:\Program Files\Electronic Arts\Dark Age of Camelot\modmgr.log' is denied."

this sounds like a common error with vista/7

basically go to daoc portal folder, find modmanager.exe, right click, properties, compatibilities, and check run as admin.

this should fix it.

Nope, didn't work :(

Thanks for trying, though.
