There are many threads about stealther and which one is the rul0r #1. but .. which is the best solo class against all those stealther on uthgard? now and with the coming RA changes. Any realms

The 30min purge will probably ake reaver really awesome to 1v1 :p

Well by this i assume you mean a visible character because the best anti stealther is a melee ranger in the current setting or minstrel, but both are stealthers also.

The problem with a visible is that you will constantly get rolled by FGs (and anything at all) therefore you'll really struggle to even get a 1v1 fight before you are waiting to port again.

But if you are a glutton for punishment then the best visible classes against stealthers are probly: (for each team)
Blues: Warriors/Thane/Darkness SM/Skald
Reds: Merc/Friar/Reav
Greens: Champ/Hero/BM(w/slam)/Warden
(VW/Arms/Zerk/Shaman/Sorc as well)

Out of those classes above the ones that can still get RvR groups regularily and are needed by their realmmates are Warr/Merc/Hero/BM...

each classes have their benifits obviously ... i have only ever played a Friar/Skald/Zerk/Reav/Merc.
So a Friar for example is good against rangers but v.bad against shield users.
Reaver sucks when opponent has Purge up and ready.

IMPORTANT if you intend to solo....... it would help you if your made your character an alchemist cos the stat buffpots are needed (otherwise your free RPs) and other pots are needed like end regen (for the hybrid melees and tanks especially).

consider is hard to find only 1 stealther ... so doesnt exsist a ANTI-STEALThER class ... only class that can kill 1 of them ^^

oh ps dont forget the barrels ^^

i guess any caster with purge + moc up might do quite good...at least the life-leech ones like caba or sorc but bombs (sm/ench/eld/wiz) should perform quite good too...

I think Thane is good for that. Very good duel Char and can be hammer specced, so more dmg on Infi and Rangers.

Friar and reaver. Minstrel will be ok too.

Id say that thane is still the best stealthkilling machine around.

++capped str/con selfbuff + 11 dps damageadd selfbuff
+Hammer
+Shield(in addition to overpowered blockrate, ever nice vs 2 weaps)
+constant damage due to instaDDs
+destealth with pbaoe instaDD

and with higher rank you can get wrath of champs(with RAs as they are now)
+2 nice around 300 damage pbaoe!
++3 awesome around 500 damage pbaoe!

or

+ Static Temptest, good vs a group of stealther, since you will be able to doubleslam(in case that is working), or at least reduce your enemy defrate and combatspeed with the 3 sec stuns the field produces!


--You wear chain armor that is vulnerable to thrust weapons!





Well, friar would be the second choice, but doesnt have that many benefits:

+high defense (in 1vs1 only)
+crush damage
+resistant to thrust damage(80% hibs)
+selfbuffs(you are almost fullbuffed when running around)
+selfhaste, quite a good thing, but does that really do the trick?
+static temptest(will disapear with OLD RAs)
+reflex attack(will be awesome timed RA with OLD RAs)

---no matter how good you are, you wont be able to kill your enemy fast because a friar is a 1vs1 char, not 1vsMORE!

Thane/Friar/Champ/VW

remember that: all players can be near fully buffed with potions and charges

The lifetap spiritmaster will own any melee char on this server. He doesn't have to move, kite or even quickcast. Just stand around, avoid PA and he's got an insta win.

Who knows maybe you can rupt him once or twice though... It's quite ridiculous tbh.

Melee or (at higher RR) Hybrid spec Ranger for the current RAs. You need to be able to see your enemy to kill it and for that you need MoS.

With old RAs there won't be much anti-stealth. With Purge on a 30 minute timer most stealthers will simply ignore slam classes like the Reaver. Or they will gank the Reaver. Either way the stealth war on Uthgard is going to become very lame with most players re-rolling to assassins or Rangers loaded with as many melee RAs as they can get. I predict Alb stealth will dominate with 9-second Scout slam and Minstrel CC. Which is already very difficult to counter even with 15/5 minute Purge. lol Black Adders.

Also, the mods should expect a lot more threads about gray-ganking in DF. It will be much harder to clean DF with 30 minute True Sight.

Champs are best class for that job

Thanes are a joke as their weaponskill table = massive evades for said stealther and with some energy resists their dds arent all that. Their only + is they have hammer for extra damage on inf/ns.
