Hello all, newcomer needs information please...

Everyone, I'm literally ecstatic to find this website. I don't even know where to begin with my questions.. so I'll just start firing away.

I played Diablo 2 when it came out.. then, DAoC... and fell in love with it. But as all good things must come to an end... DAoC introduced Shrouded Isles (Which was 50/50 for me), ToA, Champ levels, and wayyy to many expansions in my honest opinion and well.. is this website true?? Is this REALLY the OLD SCHOOL DAOC that I STILL to this day dream about and miss dearly? I played Lineage II, WoW, Aion, and COUNTLESS other games that just NEVER had a comparison to my expectatiosn.. NOTHING ever mounted up to old school DAoC for me.

Dear friends, PLEASE tell me all the ins and outs about this Uthgard Classic Freeshard that you can. Is the grinding the same? If so is the population large enough to level in groups and so forth? There is no expansions on this just good ole' DAoC correct? Does DF exist in Uthgarde? I'm literally jittery just typing this!! I'm going to start the install when I get home but boy oh boy... can this be true?

Again, please dear friends... what am I getting myself into? ANYTHING and everything you post within this thread is greatly appreciated. Not to sound like a giant friggin gaming homo, but i miss DAoC and just yearn for it, LOL!!!

I look forward to all responses... this will go up in all faction forums as well to hopefully get all responses possible. If it is moved I will find it there

SI classes do exist on Uthgard, even tough BD and Ani still miss some
abilities and necro doesn't work at all.

There is no Toa, Cata or LotM stuff implented on Uth.

I never played live, but from what i've heard it's more or less the same.

Most of the time, yes.

Does DF exist in Uthgarde?

Yes

The Grind isn't nearly as bad on Uthgard as it used to be on live. DF, BG Keep, and Camp bonuses speed things up significantly.

There are RvR horses with speed bonus on Uthgard. Mythic implemented them in the Darkness Rising expansion on live.

True, i knew i shouldn't have generalized this answer so much...

I was as excited as you to find this server, and so far I haven't been let down. They even rolled back the patch changes to character classes here. Some things are buggy, a couple are broken, but for the most part it's the perfect oldschool DAoC experience!

An old friend from Nimue and I recently started up on Hib here and have been loving it. Plenty of grouping, XP is grindy but not terrible, and DF and the dragons exist. You sound like I do about the effects of the expansions. Given that, you'll probably like it as much as I do
