I'm debating on rolling a stealth toon. Just curious the ups and downs of each on this server before i make my decision. :D Sb's never rly appealed to me so i guess it's rly just inf or NS.

Anything out of wack on uthgard?? just concerning these two classes :) and which race would you choose :)

Thanks for the help!

in the long run shadowblades tend to be the strongest. between inf and ns, in the upcoming OFRA system NS gets the best roll as i've heard. all three do perform well if you know how to play it, however. any you choose will be fun. archers get a big nerf soon, though.

the hardest i've fought 1v1 as far as race:

ns = luri
inf = highlander
sb = norse

SB the strongest? Maybe before LA nerf but SB with old RAs is a joke in comparioson what Inf/NS get.

I would recommend a NS.

inf = highlander

Highlander can't become Infi ;)
It was a scout then.

a well played minstrel could beat any stealther. kite play with orange pet can wear down nearly anything. takes more skill than ns though ^^

I thought about rolling a ns just so i didn't have to deal with rangers lol. Since all of my toons are alb, I will probably roll an INF just so i can already have it bankrolled and get a solid template going.

Any other suggestions on specs? and races? I assume saracean if thrust...

No worries m8, most rangers will stop playing within OF RAs so you can start your assassin in alb.

I would roll a Briton since they got best overall stats and you have some more strength if you ever wanna run on slash weapons.

Now the strongest assasin in Uthgard is shadowblade, when old ras will be implemented NS will be the strongest.

O'rly?

considering my 1,53khp on my minstrel with str/con charge and con buff

and the 400less hp on first hit (str/con debuff) (so you dont even need to hit BA/BS) + 600dmg viper dot you get owned in 5seconds without using IP ,. even with sos ip2 purge you will still lose almost every fight xD

or at least it will be a flaw since they just vanish when you might win ;P
and you dont dare to come back with 50% hp to search em ;P
since you know ,.. 1 more hit with viper will kill ya ;P^^
but well with a pet like an elly ^^ ,.. its different ;P but level 58 pets wond find/destealth stealthers soo ,...

it still sucks ^^

Think not. Ranger will be weaker in low RR. But with Purge, IP and AP up it will stick pwn any assassin attacking solo.

Against non-DWler the ranger will be even stronger, if dodger specced.

Not. SB will be stronger with old ras/passives. A 30 minutes timed viper doesnt pose a threat.

For OP - I dont recommend playing a stealther on this server unless you plan to group up and solo play is not your game.

SBs aren't strong...The only 1 is noir or runis (but didn't see him for a long time).

Infi is the best choice, don't think about active ras, who wants to make just 1 inc every 30 mins? And even with all active ras up u get ever low chances with fg adders etc...

But, a fg of alb stealthers can own everything (i mean 8 vs 8), double pa is awesome with supports (mins stun or mezz).

Rangers will be not to strong vs assassins, even with ap u can run back (using snare), hide and wait for his ap down and they can't detect u like now with mos.

Imho infi is the best choice, good tools, good dmg, good hp (briton) and balanced stats, neutral vs slash and resistent vs thrust.

It also depends on enemies and your preferred style of play.

SB has the highest opening damage due to DW and PA/CD, but that means you'll be highly reliant on a good opening. Not a bad thing if you ask me.
Norse also looks the best imo.

NS is reliant on critical damage from WA, so highly reliant on poisons and weapon switching to add more poisons. I would also say that it is harder than other stealthers to cap the temp for NS

INF is the easiest to level, has a lot more points to spend, so you can have 50 thrust or DW or CS if you wanted. You also will be fighting a lot of overconfident, but gimped rangers and since you're already alb, you'll have easier time getting a temp going. your weapons and styles will be your main damage dealers, so unlike SB with high PA damage or NS with high poison damage, most of yours will come from high weapon/cs/dw specs and possibly critical damage.

as for archers, like mentioned before, they will be kind of gimped for melee play or vs assassing, but they will be a good choice for a player that likes using bows.
ranger or scout would be best for that, but expect to get ganked a lot since assassins will see you as soon as you login:)

ps dont forget that with stealthers it's all about getting a good temp.
