Hi mate,
you have to link daoc portal with the daoc folder. Open Daoc Portal and choose "File" -> "Settings". At the Client tab there is an entry named "Daoc installation". Click on the browse Button and choose the folder where you have installed daoc. Normally it should work without problems after you've set the right location. ![]() All the best Azech |

I've went into this and founf my daoc under my docs-> electronic arts->DAoc and when I click 'ok' it pops up with 'The DAOC instalation specified is not valid'
any idea how to work it from here? I think i just really need to take a computer class ![]() |

Uhh this folder is completly wrong, has to be something like c:\program files (x64)\ ...
Look for a daoc folder with a game.dll in it, then its the right folder. Everything in the My Documents folder is just screenshots and videos ![]() |

The folder in Documents is just your settings, not the actual game installation. You need to actually install the game somewhere (Usually found under c:\programs\EA\DAoC or similar). Its a 3.5GB download, I think. The DaoC portal is just a launcher that allows the game to connect to a non-official server.

I have a related problem. Came back to play and loaded the client straight from Mythic. Everything installed fine and I pointed the Portal client to the correct directory. My issue is I get a "can't launch game.dll" or something similar. I installed on a different(clean) box with the exact same issue. I still have the client on a laptop running v1.103 and it's fine. I assume it's the newer v1.108 but can't find a "rollback". Is there an place to download the client "not the latest"?
