i reallyhope someoen can help here

i have some serious connection issues, literally every few minutes i loose connection to the server ( ld ) it only happens on this server

i can play on eden, normal mythic servers and all the others using daoc portal, with no problems at all

ive been through my router settings, pc , dns cache cleared, even done a full game reinstall can anyon4e please give me a suggestion or 2 to resolve this problem, i am located in the UK so connection to the server ( germany based ) shopuld not give such problems

I actually work for an ISP in Canada, so I might be able to help you a bit here.

First of all if you don't disconnect to any other servers than this one it may be the routing your internet provider uses to get to the server. What you might try and do is first of all do a traceroute ( type tracert "server IP/URL" in a command prompt) to the server itself and then set a continual ping to each hop along the route. If done it may show packet loss or increased latency on one of the hops and if so that is likely the problem. Once diagnosed you could contact your ISP and let them know that the particular hop is causing a problem for your internet use.

Its just a shot in the dark without much background, but its what I would start out with.

Not particularily, what you need to do now is set a ping (ping -t "enter the hop you want to ping") for each individual hop and test to see if any of them time out or have huge latency spikes when you disconnect. You might want to try pinging 2-3 hops at a time just to speed the process up.
