I am quite a noob in network but I really want to be sure my lagging issue are not due to something I can fix!

I read here and there post about ping and trace but can't find out any info for me

My ping seems to be good:

Ping 88.198.56.21
Send=204 / Received=204
Min=59ms / Max=159ms / Average=68ms


Seems to have a problem when exiting my modem:

Agree but what about the second line with time out?

The hop in line 2 is either overloaded or screwed somehow, if your ISP is nice they can update the routing to avoid it for you...most won't these days as long as they get your cash they don't care. Was common for ISPs todo this for you ~15 years ago though.

Its between your comp and your ISP ? you using a router? or is hop 2 your ISP as well ? Is hop 2 always like this ?
