Hello I have this error message when trying to connect to Uthgard, using DAoCPortal as usual:

v. 1.95 Loading
Service not Available.
Hit ESC to exit game.

Diagnostic window:

The client could not connect to the server specified. Either it is not online, or you used a wrong ip/port. If these are not the reason, you may try to update your client to an EU version, as this error is also displayed if the client is not supported by the server.

Ping google.com: success

What happened?

* I had been connecting successfully until yesterday, I use EU 1.95 version.
* Tried to disable windows firewall aswell
* Tried to create a new char, connecting with new username and pw, same problem (my char is not banned)
* I am not downloading/nobody is using internet ad my connection speed is excellent (sometimes I had this problem while using emule, but I'm only running DAoC now)
* System restore done (altough I didn't made any change / installed anything in the last 5 days

Have Windows 7, but the strange thing is that everything was OK and I was able to connect till yesterday, but no way today, any help?

Edit: I can connect on other shards (tried on Eden and Amtenael) with no problems.

having exact same problem today..

I am having the same problem, and nothing has been changed on my log in at all. Please can somebody suggest anything?

im playing with 1.95 and i have not problems.

im still having same problem.
rang isp - they said its working fine, tried connecting to eden, works fine.
i can browse the internet no problem
why cant i connect to uth?

update your client then.

already updated my client, didnt sort it.
did system restore, didnt sort it!
added uthgard as a custom shard - >.<

try the launcher.bat

dont know what that file is. did a search for .dat and didnt find it.
still broke!

basicly do this:


open notepad

write:

@DOLLoader game.dll 88.198.56.21 10300 1 ACCNAME PASSWORD


save it as XXXX.bat

place it in your daoc folder (I think this is needed, but not sure)

and run it..

Did like Nixian said (of course write your username and your password instead of ACCNAME and PASSWORD) then saved as.. XXXX.bat in daoc folder, as suggested.

- double click on it, something happened in a fast dos window

- launched with daoc portal as usual, now works, thanks!
