Ichor of the deep - and how it works

Heya,
need a little help from a shaman/sorc with this RA and can confirm a few things. I had a few 1vs1 against a shaman those days and recognized that i cant purge his Ichor. Once purge timer was resetted and i was still rooted (maybe it purged disease here because of the reset - were only focused on the root so cant say that exactly). Second time i purged a few times in Ichor while he kited away but nothing happens (no negative effect, icon greyed out and came back 1/2 second later). So my main question is: Should the Ichor root be purgeable? I thought it was on live years ago when i played and if im not completly wrong i purged some Ichor roots weeks/months ago on uthgard too. Maybe anyone could help me out here or has the time for a test IG. P.S. the shaman with the unpurgeable root said he has Ichor 2, dont think there should be a difference but maybe there is one. |

Yes, it should be. |
|
Ichor should also remove root immunity, but it doesn't. Dunno if boltlike casting was fixed either.

Ichor should definitly be purgable. If it is not, this would be a serious bug.
It should also reset the root immunity timer, and thus allow you to be rooted again though. So the only explanation beside a bug I can think of would be that you got hit by a root immidatly after purging the ichor. If purge however didn't even get used up like you say, this can't be the case either. Maybe something got broken with the SoS<->Root changes. Probably should be moved to bug reports, and quickly looked at, before all shamans start speccing Ichor3. It's not like mid groups aren't dominating RvR enough already ![]() |

Mid groups aren't dominating, mid zergs are

So, if thats the case i could need a shaman/sorc to test with (dont have a mid/alb char with purge 2+ only hib). If anybody could spend a few min, i would come Odins/HW or Uppland/Sauvage (sure without rp farming). Or a inner realm duel of shaman/sorc with a char who has purge and writes the result in here. Would prefer the first one to see it with my own eyes (maybe it has something to do with my rr5 which was activated both times- all possible on uth... ![]() So send me a PM for IG Date (again: i wont kill u) ![]() |

This should be fixed imo. Ichor is much less effective without the immunity reset. You should be able to AE root, ichor, then AE root again. 3 AE roots is actually somewhat effective against det5/stoi tanks, a single ichor, or a single root is not. |

So after a 2 months break, second day in RvR and what i would like to say:
Im for 99,9% sure now that ICHOR is NOT! Purgeable! - yes, again a fight vs shaman who took me into Ichor i used Purge a few times and in chat came only: U cast a Purge Spell, nothing else happend, was still freezed on ground in Ichor! Thats a bug for sure if its so, i have no Mid/Albchars to test with and never saw a Hib who speced it. Could any Mib/AlB or Dev pls check this and move the thread into the bug session? |
|
There is a thread in the bug section, has been for a long time. Probably more than one but one should(giggle) be enough.

Which Thread do u mean? i saw an Ichor DmG Bug Thread a while ago. Thats not an important bug... so i dont want to have it there - the devs will never recognize that ![]() If Ichor Root is really not Purgeable like i figured out in my PvP experience, than thats a major bug and should be hotfixed! Not only that Purge dont works , purge timer will be resetted like i wrote in starting post if u have any other negative effect on you.. like a debuff,....,nearsight (on a tank should be lol, but now he will waste his purge for that if he tries to purge out of the Ichor root) |
|
ichor isnt purgeable here... bug report ?
|
|
Bump.
Could someone please point me to the bug report so I can bump that too. Wouldn't want this remaining bugged in OF. |
