Speed of Sound bug

After the change to Speed of Sound it seems to be acting like a purge for assassin snare poison.
This is not the correct behavior. SoS is supposed to make the caster become immune to getting new snares/roots/mezzes/stuns while SoS is up, but it's not supposed to be purging any snares or roots that are already on the Bard/Skald/Minstrel. |

I don't understand what you are saying. Also please post in the original bugreport instead opening a new thread.

I am saying that SoS appears to be completely negating assasin snare poison. If it's supposed to allow people to move a little bit when they're rooted, that's fine. I played a bard on live and I know that snares, such as Compel Defeat and Assassin Poison and garotte still hindered people if they were landed before SoS was used. Right now if I land snare poison on a bard or minstrel and they SoS it's like they never had snare poison on them at all. I had to purge that stuff on live on my bard in order for SoS to be effective. This is a new bug related to the fix, therefore it didn't seem to belong in the other thread. |

Yes. That says root - not snare. |

How fast can one move when rooted and SoS applied?

Well I used a 40% greater crippling poison, disease poison, and garotte (hindered effect) on a minstrel. Before this change they could SoS with both of those on them and they'd get a boost to their speed but I could catch them with sprint. After the change it seems like they get full SoS speed (like garotte and poison aren't even on them). Edit: Ok I tested it out.... I got on my skald who has SoS one and had an assassin test this out on me. Mainhand snare poison (the some 40% poison I use when fighting bards and minstrels), offhand disease (the same I use) and they used garotte on me. I used SoS and it completely ignored disease, snare poison and garotte too. I got a full SoS speed boost as if none of those things even work. As soon as SoS wore off, the movement hindering effects worked again. Before this patch SoS still worked, but these effects slowed it down quite a lot (like it's supposed to work) - enough that a sprinting character could catch the SoSer. |
