I installed everything yesterday, configured it all nicely.
I have been able to logon to the game, create my avatar and all.
But ... as soon as I changed the forum password, I couldn't connect anymore in the game. It says password invalid / Press escape.

But I tried the old password too, doesn't work neither.
In my account info here, it says I am not a suscriber of the shard.
Anyone can tell me what is happenning? I was happy to come back to DAoC (after a 5 years stop), but it's seems to be a bit tricky to play here.
And when connecting the first time, I had a message ingame telling I have 3 hours to accept the rules. But where does that to be made? I didn't find anywhere to accept rules (and I read them all, by the way).

The issue is not the password itself.
It's look more like that my account doesn't exist.
But I did use the email link to activate it.
Now the activation link doesn't work anymore, of course.
Is there a way to redo the account registration?
(don't want to polude with multiple forum accounts)

by the way: I suppose the activation link worked, since I would *not* be able to talk here if it wasn't the case. The problem is the game account has disappeared...

if it says "Password invalid" then account does exist.
if it didn't exist it would be created the first time you tried to log in.

and wtf? just create a new account.

It's just I wanted everything to be perfect.
Now my game email is 'burned', my nickname too, my ingame name too, etc... Damned, I wanted to play a 'Zetmor' paladin, now I suppose the name is not available anymore.

And since I don't understand what happened, would it be different with a second account? What tells me it won't disappear too tomorrow?

Can't someone delete my 'Zetmor' account and let me try to do it again?

Well because I've been told to. I understand only now it is not linked at all to the shard logins...

But I haven't managed to run the game anyway.
First account : still bad password.
Second account : Your account is invalid.
Tried a third one : You account is banned from this server type.

Looks like that's not Zetmor friendly.

What I understand about what happened :
my first account did connect, but I did not manage to find where to "accept the rule" ingame at game start (perhaps because of a client problem, I don't know, there wasn't any button or link on that page saying I had only 3 remaining hours to accept the rules).
So I suppose that account has gone into a 'disabled' state, and now I get a wrong password invalid message, not because of the password, but because of the fact I did not 'accept the rules'. Anyway.
And now, it seems my IP address is simply banned, due to that. I retried after my shopping, it still ejects me. Anyway! Forget it! It wasn't a good idea to come back on DAoC anyway. Sorry for having disturbing you, seems that all is too complicated for me. I'll just go back playing poker.

By the way, I tried to ask a password reset (using the online form), and the staff did it quickly. And you know what? It's working again with my first account.

Sorry for the additionnal phpbb accounts I've made. Who shall I ask to clean my mess?

And my apologies again for the trouble I'm causing.

In the end I'll perhaps do that paladin I was dreaming to replay since years (for me New Frontiers was the beginning of the end for DAoC).

Well, atm Hib is easier to xp, has better cashdrop/goldrewards for quests.
Mid has the most population in addition to some strong classes.
And alb, well... You know, when you first log an offline game and start playing, it asks you if you want to play this game on easy, medium or hard mode. Alb is DAOCs hardmode.

It seems it is a bit easier the old time.
I have my whole carrier plan made now: it will be 50 shield / 48 chants / 34 slash / 13 parry.

(too bad I'm already suffering small bugs - probably was a 1.80 bug - = the paladin refresh chants don't all pulse, the one giving life stops and no icon displayed ; edit> it works, just the icon that doesn't show up; I remember we had that bug on the live servers)
