thought I'd check how the server is doing. But apparently my recent switch to Windows 7 is preventing from logging in. In particular:

I installed DAoC portal (2.3 from the DOL website) and it just won't start up. Clicking on it does something (i.e. loading icon) but then it simply drops, without an error message.

.net comes pre-installed with Windows 7, so I am guessing the problem is found elsewhere (?).

Any suggestions appreciated

admin-mode?

you need dol version 2.4b

go to help and select > check for updates.

that will give you the correct version.
