meleerange = 250 range... if youre playing a dwarf it might look like too far for you, but make a troll and its gonna be too short :)

On this note I have a question to the staff. Is range on the shield style Slam increased for some reason? I often get slammed at ridiculously high range whereas they weren't able to hit me with other melee attacks.

if the target is moving, the range is doubled to enable fluent gameplay in case the enemy tries to abuse pingdelay(strafe, lagjump, windowdrag, etc).

No, the range is the same for all attacks. The only difference for the range is when the target is moving, but of course that applies to all attacks.

Melee range should be 127.
This screenshot looks very weird - I don't think the door is moving.

its prob an issue with the door object. Sometimes objects are not actualy sized correctly or placed wierdly and the hit box for the object isnt where it should be or bigger then normal. Like on NF, when i was on purga , if you wanted to attack a wall at a tower, it was located to the right side of the outside wall, and a few steps back, to actualy hit it, because the hitbox for it was incurrectly placed. Something simular maybe happening in that screenshot. To really test it for melee, do it vs a player or test dummys.

As already mentioned, the melee range is the same for everyone. It might look awesome as a small Lurikeen while it looks short for a large troll. However Mythic did not want some races to have an advantage against others. That's why sometimes it seems too big/small.

Even so, there are moments when i am slamed from a ridiculous range, and dont tell me that story with moving and so, never on oficial servers i got slamed from 300 yards in game. It s not working as intended, not sure about other melees but slam definitelly is not working right, the range is too big.

Well range is doubled when moving, add a stunstyle with server delay on that and you will find yourself standing slammed further than melee range.
