For the past 2 or 3 days I've been having a lot of lag issues, and I'm not sure why; I rarely have this much trouble with lag. I'll get 2 red squares constantly, as if I'm going LD...but then the game will clear up again for a couple minutes. I've tried resetting my modem/router to see if that helps, and repairing my internet connection but it doesn't do anything. I disabled windows firewall (although I've been playing with it on every since I started, and never had problems) and it doesn't resolve the issue. Anyone have any suggestions? Has the server been lagging these past couple days or is it mainly me?

me and my duo partner have been having lag spikes on the P and L meters the F has been fine. even lagg'd off a horse once. it could be that we in the states and the server is in germany could explain our lag but i doubt. though we do share the same isp.

I haven't had excessive lag issues, but I've had the "invisible mob thing". Apparently, this is caused by UDP packet loss...

Invisible Mobs/Lag runs are no lags. They are bugs. UDP is not used for mobs.

Ohh yea its bad, i'm on verizon, my buddy is on comcast, and my other buddy is on cox, and we are all getting it, all around DC, my friend in FL is fine though, its hit or miss, the past week has been really rough 10 second lag spikes with either a comeback, or a link-dead. There is some trans-atlantic carrier that is having some serious issues.

10 second lags? 8O Cant imagine that.

I enabled ping on Uthgard, so you can check the server with ping -n 100 uthgard.game-server.cc for lags.

ohh im pinging about 90 to the server from DC, its just timing out upwards of 10 seconds. Then its back. Or you go link dead. I can't find any any info.

I'm assuming its once we get dumped onto telia from our ISP's i wonder if my buddy in FL goes through a different carrier, then i can pinpoint it.

Ok upon further investigation anyone going through telia.net (Sweden) on their way to the uthgard servers in Germany, you are the ones getting the lag spikes, and going link-dead, including people in Scandanavia, not just people from the US.

I emailed them to see what the deal is.

Anyone from the US going over anything other than telia, shouldn't be having problems.

Not sure why we are going through Sweden to get to Germany, but we are.
Hopefully they'll fix it.
