I attempted to download Catacombs from the EU site, but when I ran the update, I ended up with Labyrinth. I can connect, create a toon, but when I enter the world I always end up a stalker. Any suggestions?

what class did you pick?

in the new patches the char creation was changed, so if you picked the right class you should end up as the right "pre" class (stalker, magician, guardian, whatever)

and at lvl 5 you can chose the class you picked at char creation (or the other chars available for stalkers)

Mythic removed the base classes (Rogue, Fighter, Acolyte, Magician, ...) in 1.93, but we didn't follow them. We want to be a classic server which also means to have base classes. So if you choose an Infiltrator as class for your new character, it will automatically be mapped to the Rogue class.

Initially, I tried to create a Vampiir using a Shar. Then I thought perhaps that class and race were not supported on the server. So I tried a Luri Ranger and still ended up with a Stalker. Forgive my lack of knowledge, but, other then playing the US free trial, I have not played DAOC for years. I'll look through the getting started and tutorials some more, and hopefully that will make things clear for me. Thanks for the help.

The base class of a ranger is a stalker. There's nothing wrong with that. Simply level to 5 and you'll be able to become a ranger.

Correct, just search for the Ranger Trainer of your choice and tell him to join his path/house or however its called on hib ^^.

In fact, you´ll not be ableto get lvl 6 without choosing your path.

the class isn't but the race is supported

and as said by the others: get to lvl 5 and talk to the ranger trainer it should work
