After many attempt with odd versions of the game and different methods of installation, i beleave i might have found one that will work, but was just wondering if anybody else could tell me if this should work before i finish it.
step 1: install game via catacombs cd's or install files via mythic step 2: download cata update via offsite http or ftp site, or via mythic EU server (200meg file or so i think) step 3: Optional, install DR (not sure if i have to install this or not going to test it) step 4: update game via EU update server to 1.80 game version step 5: setup dollauncher 1.77+, and set game.dll or tgame.dll and IP step 6: play now not sure if this will work but wanted some feedback if i missed something. Trying to create a repeatable process for my brother and couple friends ![]() |

Update: my system works just fine, i have the game working right now without DR, so i will try with DR in a couple days and give an update, i will also refine my steps a little bit and add in links so that anybody will be able to compleate an installation without and hookups, and then somebody can translate from my english to german or any other language.

Some additions:
1) You might start with any version (CD or download) of DAoC. 2) You can update from both EU or US server. 4) Only applies to DR (since you already updated the other versions in step 2). 5) game.dll should be preferred for use with DOLLoader. You only have tgame.dll once you connected to the test server by clicking Camtest.exe. Note: This is valid only for the time being - once US servers advance to the next version DOL might not support it right away. So then EU could be the only source for updating. Note 2: Actually, there already is a German tutorial and English tutorial in the forum. Not sure about French, though. Happy hunting!

True enough however i think they are witten by others and translated to english and in my opinion can be very confusing. going to try and setup DR some time this week. going to add in links to dl's and stuff that way anybody who has no idea what to do can compleate the installation and log on.
