35 bow + 34 stealth + 40 pf = 34 pierce/25 cd.

A full spec melee ranger, has no bow and no less than 39 weapon/33 cd.

Regarding the crit shot, has a big fail rate on moving targets, and only against visible classes.
Also you need MOS 5, to use bow on stealth class.

44 CS is enough to get that damage. And don't forget an assassin get 2.5x the sp and specs on some damn good lines.
The ranger is on 2x as all the tanks and hybrids.

I wouldn't mind to get 2.5x and cs or envenom to spec too :) Or evade 4 (not 5).

Also bow damage on Uthgard is on the same table as 2h weapons. Doesn't have it's own table as on live to see 1 arrow kills. :D

And please remember, a ranger will think many times to try to get a visible tank head on. The assassins not.

This is all very true but 500 PA with 44 CS spec against studded/neutral armor is pretty normal. IF he has a lower spec and little or no bonus from items or IF he does same damage to (for example) paladins then there is indeed a problem.

So far there hasn't been any testing done, I'd gladly do it but I don't have the resources (several respecs, can't attack plate armor as a shadowblate at will, not allowed to dual log etc.).

Personally in all my time playing a sb perfing others and getting perfed countless times while playing other chars I've never encountered some of the problems mentioned in this thread. For example the highest I've ever been perfed on cleric (and I get perfed a lot on cleric) was 450 damage by a high CS spec nightshade with a weapon that does bonus damage to my armor type. Going to extremes like people claiming they get perfed on a tank for 1000 damage is just something I don't see as possible in normal circumstances.

Hi,

Someone said above 500 damage with CS 44 on RF classed normal. For level 50 yes.

But how a level 43 infil 3L1 make perf almost 500 in Wilton on a level 41 fully templated BM?

He did 419 not 500. And im sure you resisted 20%, then was 419(-80...) damage. I think this damage its normal.

AS it is only one formula and not considering WS a level 40 with 40 CS will do the same damage as a level 50 with 40 CS (both with same +item + RR)

I said almost. If you add the rest bonuses too.

Does seems 4.6-4.7 times his STYLED damage right?
At 50 he will do 20%+ more in total (hence the whole thread about), while I will have barely 10% more hp (any tank).

And this is live like? Then only damage difference makes WS?

People said before about 1000 damage with pa. Then this could be posible. SB with 50 weapon, >40 in cs and 2 hand weapon.

If WS is not considered, would it be enough to spec 21 in CS and do the same PA Dmg as so veing more in CS? Is style dmg calculated correctly or not?

No the formula includes the CS spec so the higher the spec the more damage you will deal.

@vangonaj
Yes, should be 11*9=99 more damage (before resist/AF)

What you mean? my difference damage with 21 and 32 in cs? Its more than 99, i could say 220. When i had 21 in cs i did 420 damage with pa (one hand weapon). Now with 32 in cs and with one hand weapon i do 625 damage. And i changed my spec with the same rr.

It was the same target?
A damage increase of 200 per 10 CS skill is definitely to much. This would mean 1000 dmg at 50 CS.
When this is true maybe it is really messed up.
