How is Perforate Artery (PA) hitting so hard?

I could start telling you why most of what you write is total b/s, but before I'd kindly ask you to read the various threads regarding assassins and PA damage before QQing here (in fact, reading this one alone would already help a bit).

The biggest mistake most people here do in discussions is they take all their goodies for granted, and see others as "imba", "autowin" and whatever. According to people like you, there must be so many "autowin" skills on certain classes that anyone autowins against anyone. Interesting, not?

1. u thought PA is imba = "oh let me make/play NS/SB/Infi"
2. u already made/played a NS/SB/infi = "oh its not imba or i cant play it"
3. go back to your "normal" class, get pwned = QQ in forum that PA is imba
4. start at point 1.

Yes, with vanish, (Once again, a skill you're not even supposed to have) allows you to mindlessly enter and exit fights, taking away the entire danger dynamic of playing an assassin. That is, of course, assuming there is a danger dynamic in the first place, but that's not the case when you perf 3 times harder than you're supposed to. Also, throw in viper and you just have to knick a tank to kill it. Yeah, you're awesome. I guess I'm wrong to take chain ability and tank tables for granted. Stupid me.

Your little "according to 'people like' you" bit is total nonsense. I've not even implied so much. Assassins are totally broken here in every way. I've limited it to only assassins. Not all classes are broken, just a few. You just happen to play one and think you're good at it.

If you're going to respond to me, I'd at least request that you make some sense and not just type words that don't apply to anything. PA is broken and nothing you've accomplished has anything to do with you. You know it. If you don't, that's scary.

You do know this server uses new RAs right?

First, let me quote one of my older statements, just in case you really are interested in meaningful discussion

Compared with my live experience from "back in the old days", PA damage here is not affected by ABS/AF and always hits for a fixed value only influenced by CritStrike spec and resists. But that "cap" damage is lower than it was on live. So in average the damage is livelike, on heavy armor it is probably a bit too high while on light armor it is probably a bit too low, compared to live.
(And no, I don't have "proof", and I don't care to find, I'm just telling so you can get a picture of what's the difference to live.)


Now let me talk numbers:

If I hit casters for 550, I'm supposed to hit them for 180? -> you must be kidding.

And my damage values are considering full (50+15 or more) crit strike spec.

Stop thinking from your narrow-minded Point of view, and start to look at this as a game with many perspectives. And just to say, 550 on casters is too low, not too high.

Well i am not playing my hunter the last weeks/months in stealthwar. But tbh i love Assassins that Vanish, because everytime they vanished i got em because of my MoS and they couldnt even hit me. So i dont think Vanish is that uber, maybe in pure Assassin vs. Assassin fights.

Beanie, I played on classic live all the way threw ToA, and I can say that the perf damage is not that much of a difference on Uthgard as it was on classic live. Yes, it has been acknowledged that there is certain factors that are making it not exactly what it was on live, but overall the dmg is reasonable. He should be hitting for less on heavy tanks and more on lighter tanks and casters. If you think its so easy to figure out then by all means, contact Mythic, get all the damage coding from live and hand it over to Blue and the other GM's. I'm sure they would love that. Also, be careful what you wish for... You want damage to match perfectly with what it was on classic live then I would like to see archery damage increased to = classic live damage. 800+ was an average crit shot on live and you would at least once or twice a night get in the 1k range, here about 500-600 is the avg crit shot, and if your lucky you get around 800. I've had a handful of shots in over 1.5 years of play on here go for over 1k, and all of those were on lvl 50's that werent fully templated yet.

On a side note, I would just like to point out that Beanie is essentially saying that assasin is an unfair class, and I just got done reading a post from a inf/scout player that says he is giving up on his assasin because they are worthless because of rangers, and just read a thread the other day from a ranger talking about how he is giving up because friar/reaver are to tough for him, and I read a thread from some reavers that are upset because not everything on their class is working properly...... Do you see where this is going? Everyone thinks that everyone elses classes are op'd, and their class is gimped and broke. This game was never meant to be equal. It was meant to be like paper, rock, scissors. Every class has favorable and unfavorable matches, get over it, that is part of the game. If you dont like it go play WoW or go play DAoC live. Everything on those games is striving for equality, which ends up in boredom.

Yes, you should be perfing tanks for about 250-350. I don't care what you're perfing casters for. This is about you vs heavy tanks (classes you're not even supposed to attempt). Once you add in the fact that you basically ignore target defense with it and always cap (even a green con perfing a tank), throw in the fact that you can attain an additional 50% crit cap on top of your inflated numbers (which happens more often than you know) of hitting for 2-3x as much as you should in the first place, the numbers are much (up to 4x ) higher than what they should be. It would be okay if tanks were geared for ML and artifacts, but they aren't.

My warrior was perfed for an infiltrator once for 1,100ish. Yes, he got a probably capped crit, but (lol)... If you think this is cool, I just don't know what else to say. *scratch my head*

Let's see how awesome you think you are if you remove absorb bonus from your characters and let tanks swing for cap every time. Oh, give them a +120 damage add, too.

I got killed by Goeman yesterday. He didn't even perf me. I was fully buffed with Akar's Barrier, +20 str, + 63 Dex/Qui, +20 Dex, 17% haste buff, and AF charge. Essentially fully buffed. I didn't hit him once. He hit me 4 times and killed me. How? Viper. Just reapply poison after purge. He didn't even bother perfing me. That's how easy it is to play an assassin here. I didn't even hit him once. He evaded 7 attacks and I missed twice. So much for my warrior's vaunted weapon skill.

Have fun being 1337. Enjoy your braindead experience. I uninstalled.

PA is hitting so hard because is not implemented well, backstab2 hits for 460 dmg when it should be around 320 dmg.. same with PA , plus on uthg crit styles like PA and backstab dont have the variation of 40% that they have on live..like all the other melee hits .

When you hit for 700 dmg..and normally you should do 600 its caled buggy PA , and OP .. asasins should shut their piehole because they got viper and they shouldnt , and their melee dmg is alot higher not on the right tier, rangers also got pd and they shouldnt and their melee dmg is also on a wrong tier beeing too high, reavers and friars block and parry cause there is no reduction of block pary based on WS..thus shield and advanced pary/evade users are advantaged by that, if we get those done ..we ll be oke:)) no1 will cry ..cause a ranger has no chance to kill a reaver anyway..
