I still can't play on my gaming pc, it is running windows xp. It's too bad because the computer runs daoc perfectly. Hopefully this is fixed before launch I'd rather not have to be forced to upgrade from windows xp or use a different computer.

@devs I'm sure this is possible to download the update package manually from a modern TLS1.2-enabled browser

I downgraded the security requirements from TLS 1.2 to TLS 1.0 yesterday. You might have to reinstall the launcher if it's still giving you the same error message (?)

I reinstall the launcher and always have the same error message...

"La connection sous-jacente a été fermée : une erreur inattendue s'est produite lors de la réception.

After reinstalling Visual C ++ Redistributable for Visual Studio 2015 for x86 and repeated download of the launcher it works now.

Configuration panel -> internet options -> Advanced -> Security.
Locate and check "Use TLS 1.0".

Still doesn't work for me.
I have every upgrade, the 4.6 .net framework, the c++ distros, added an exception to my firewall and reinstalled a few times.
Anyone have any ideas?

Have you tried disabling whatever anti-virus software you have? I know some other folks had success with that.
