It would have only made a tiny % difference for the higher tiers...

And about rocklar formula, for block is not used atm on uthg, Blue said it, dunno for evade..so its better not to make calculations based on that.


The roclar formula is the only formula for evade that I've seen. Any where. If it isn't used on Uthgard then it would be nice to know what is.

There has to be a single "target" number that the test is based on. Otherwise I'm just throwing up meaningless numbers. Warriors are better at penetrating defense than a Runemaster. Well ok, but by how much?

Ask Gm s not me.. and the diference for higher tiers is not "tiny" for block under same stats from arms to pala it was 10% as you can see..thats tiny to you? If you make evade tests put stats +75 dext quic on the toons like they were unbufed .

no need, Syha shows with same weapon stat and spec savage has signifigantly higher weaponskill, resulting in better defense penetration.


If the savage isn't on a higher table than the skald, how do you account for this higher WS/defenese reduction?

damage stats do not help you penetrate defenses on live

your level vs their level

your weapon bonus % vs their armor bonus %

your spec level ( modified up to your level ) vs their defense chance


if your results show anything different, then you did not do enough testing, and had some flawed results/methodology

From what planet r u from?:))) all my tests about higher dmg stat show a huge block decrease and u find yourself talking. And dont come again with your server client story cause we r not interested , we just do tests to see what affects block evade.

Attacker weapon bonus/lvl vs armour bonus/lvl affects missrates if u want to know , and its weapon of atacker and shield of defender..for block at least that count also.

And weapon spec lvl affects less then dmg stats like str the blockrate , i ve demonstrated it for block how weapon spec at a certain WS then str stats giving same WS = resulted in lower block for attacker with str stats.

Did you even look at their data? It clearly proves what just said to be incorrect.

I posted these tests over 3 weeks ago and they haven't received so much as a nod from the staff. That's a bit frustrating considering I spent over 25 hours conducting these tests and preparing the reports.

I hope the staff realize that without a correct defense penetration formula melee combat on Uthgard is completely broken for all classes and not live-like.

Something as simple as a "we'll look into it" would suffice.

Good findings. Glacius found a similar relationship for block rate reduction. So it seems clear that weaponskill indeed does influence defenses. No available formula reflects this fact yet.
